What to Carry When Renting a Monthly Room in Tamil Nadu
Moving into a monthly room for the first time can be confusing — it helps to know what's usually provided and what you'll need to bring yourself. Here's a general checklist for renting a monthly PG or room in Tamil Nadu.
Usually Provided
Most monthly PG rooms, including those at SKI Towers, come with the basics already in place — a cot and mattress, and access to hot water. Always confirm directly with the property what exactly is included before you move in, since this varies from place to place.
What to Bring Yourself
Plan to bring your own bedsheets, pillow and blanket, toiletries, a padlock for your cupboard or door, basic kitchen items if you'll be cooking, and copies of your ID for verification. It's also worth carrying a physical copy of any documents the property may ask for at check-in.
Before You Move In
Confirm the rent, payment schedule and notice period in writing or over WhatsApp before you commit, and ask about amenities like Wi-Fi or AC if these matter to you — don't assume they're included unless confirmed. A quick message to the property beforehand saves confusion on move-in day.
